i have had a long past few days. my wilderness first responder course met thursday evening 4-9 PM then again on friday, 1-10 PM and saturday 10-4 PM. i am so exhausted. but i did learn a lot. there was a girl on thursday who actually passed out while the teacher was talking and she fell backwards. i thought it was staged and we were supposed to take care of her or something, but it was real. and little scary too. but she was fine. i guess it's happened to her before....low blood sugar or something. it was pretty fun too yesterday and today cause we did scenarios and had volunteers out in the woods and a group of us would find them and have to treat them and get them out. for example, one scenario my group of three came up to a guy who "broke his leg and dislocated his arm." so we had to get him onto a sleeping pad so he was off the snow and then splinted his leg and arm and wraped him in a tarp. today was a little more frustrating cause our groups were bigger so there were a lot of people talking and telling other people what to do. i don't need to be a leader, and i don't mind being a follower, but it's difficult when i disagree with what the "leader" is doing. people take waaaay to long to get the patient off the snow and onto a pad. i just want to take over sometimes, but there's too many people. our mock rescue is in too week on the 9th. i'm a little nervous about that. i hope it goes well.

i got to see natalie today. she's adorable. and she's soooo smart too. i asked her to hand me the remote at the end of my bed and she did!! mom took a cute video of her jumping on the bed too. here's the link, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DQWxyHtsKUs

i signed up for classes next fall. i am taking Teaching of Canoeing, Eval/Research in Leisure Services, Interp I Foundation/Guided Services, Leisure Through the Ages, and Hiking. I'm pretty excited about these classes. i hear the Interp class is kind of hard. and i think the eval/research one will be difficult too. but hopefully it will all be good. erika might take the hiking class with me which would be awesome.

next weekend i'm going to ewen to see john!! i miss him already. i can't wait for next fall also because he will be here!!! that's very exciting. i hope he'll enjoy nmu. i know i'll enjoy having him closer, instead of 2 hours away.

ok, that's it. i think i shall make some tea, watch twilight and then go to bed. goodnight all.

Right now i'm watching That 70's Show. I'm on disc two. I'm trying to watch it from beginning to end. I've been watching episodes whenever they're on tv and i just thought watching the whole series through would be cool. I don't think i've seen every episode. It's sooo funny, i like it a lot. Lacey has seasons 1-5 so this should last me a while.

Also I've started reading the first Harry Potter book. I don't really know why. It's pretty good though. I'm about half way through. I think i'll continue and try to read the rest of the series.

I've recently declared english for a minor. I discovered that i only need to take one more 300 level english class for a minor. So, i'll either take it next fall or winter 2010. I want to take a writing class, but we'll see. I think we can sign up for fall classes in a week or two. Why is signing up for classes always a little exciting? That's weird.

So, I'm not sure if anyone but lacey is reading this but if someone else is, my mom has got me started on twitter.com. It's a pretty cool site. Kind of like facebook, but it's mostly just updating your status throughout the day on what you're doing. It's pretty cool. So, you should join. You can find me if you search my nmu email address. I'm following a "twitter" called TheOfficeQuotes, and they write funny office quotes on there frequently. Here's one, "You hear stories about Dunder Mifflin in the 80's, before everybody knew how bad cocaine was. Gyah... man, did they move paper!" - M. Scott. I'm a fan of the office. That's a great show.

Well, i guess that's it. I'm probably going to go take a shower, figure out my sunday school lesson for tomorrow, then watch The Jane Austen Book Club....such a cute movie.

Goodnight.

PS. I just watched an episode of That 70's Show, and Mitch Hedberg was in it. He was the worker at the restaurant hang out, Frank. Does he have a recurring role? Hmm, i wonder.

PSS. Also, did you know That 70's Show started in 1998?!!? That seems like sooo long ago, but it doesn't seem like it started that long ago. Weird.

so i think i have the flu or something. i've had a sore throat for a couple days now and this morning i threw up after eating some coco puffs. i was outside taking a picture of john's car and then i threw up on the nice white snow. it tasted kind of chocolatey so it wasn't that bad. but anyways, i decided to stay in ewen one more day instead of driving home today. which is fine with me!

i can't believe what happened on the bachelor last night. i was soooo happy when he chose mellisa but then during the "after the final rose" episode HE BROKE UP WITH HER ON TV!!! and then proceeds to ask molly out!!! what the hell. stupid jerk.

well i'm going to take a nap, and maybe i'll feel a little bit better. goodnight.

wow lacey, that picture is baaaaddd. it looks like you have a tumor on your eye.

anyways, i'm in ewen this weekend. i got here on friday a little before four. i forgot to call mom and tell her i made it safe...oops. John's mom is at a Be an Outdoors Woman retreat at Bay Cliff this weekend. She comes back today, so maybe she'll have some stories about it. This weekend is been pretty nice. It's good to be on spring break, but i am a little sad i'm not visiting lacey out in Colorado. It would have been fun to see what she's been up to. But, hopefully in May i'll be able to go out there to visit.

Sometimes it's hard to write in here cause i don't really do much. Last week i got my new snowshoes in the mail. Mom and i took the dogs for a walk and i got to use them. Hopefully i will get outside more now that i have those. I just bought a bikini online :/ I think i'm going to hang it on my wall to remind me to work out more...haha. I have recently hit 150 lbs. Not good. I should lose some weight...but i'm soooo lazy. This is going to be rough.

This weekend on Xbox 360, if you play Call of Duty 4 you get doubled points when you kill someone. Normally every person you kill would be ten points, but this weekend it's 20 points. I feel a little bad cause i know john wants to play it like all day, but he won't cause i'm here. I played and had an assist with killing someone and i got 4 points, and then the rest of the time i died a bunch of times :(

Last night john and i watched Alone in the Wilderness on PBS. It was pretty interesting. That guy is so talented the way he could just build all that stuff. Sometimes i wish i could just live out in the middle of the woods and live off the land. That would be sweet. No bills to pay. It'd be kinda lonely though. I hope dad has the book, cause i want to borrow it.

Well, john and i are going to watch Moulin Rouge now (he actually likes it!!!!) I love this movie :) I'll try to write in here more often.

These are my new snowshoes!!!! Cute hey?!?
